Charles Caron has heard from the paving contractor and they will be on site tomorrow morning starting at 7 a.m. to fix the paving problems.
Once again Charles was given very little notice. The board apologizes for not communicating the disruption in a more timely fashion and for the inconvenience this has caused. The central intersection will be ground down and regarded. This will affect every resident in the complex. As well, problem areas on Jamesway and Klarecroft will be fixed.
Please arrange for your own parking clearance on Grosvenor. To request a permit, call the Town of Oakville, the number to contact is 905-338-4394. Hours are between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Voicemail is available after hours for one night of unplanned overnight on-street parking.
Temporary street permits can be issued:
When parking needs temporarily exceed parking supply (eg. for overnight visitors)
When access to private parking is temporarily unavailable because of construction, driveway repairs, etc.
For a maximum of 30 days per year
Please note that if you have more vehicles than can be accommodated by your private parking space, you are responsible for making arrangements for the additional parking spaces needed. The town does not allow permanent on-street parking.
We hope this will be rectified and the problems with ponding and cracking pavement finally solved.
